Inc. (dba NFI Consumer Products) is an innovative consumer
products company that manufactures, markets, and distributes
several brands of nutritional supplements in the Health and
Beauty Care Category. With a broad range of products that
encompass Pain Relief, Weight Loss, Joint and Bone Care,
Skin Care, Cold and Sinus, Energy, Antioxidants, and Sleep,
NFI Consumer Products continues to develop and release national
name brands that are distributed throughout the United States,
primarily through mass merchandise retailers, supermarkets
and mass drug stores. The company currently distributes product
lines through more than 75 retailers representing over 35,000
retail outlets.
The story of NFI Consumer Products epitomizes the quintessential
entrepreneur’s dream – building an exceptional
and thriving company using little more than passion, ingenuity
and dedication. With no venture capital money or investors
backing him, Richard Guy went from selling nutritional supplements
out of his parents’ garage to presiding over a $35
million enterprise. Originally calling his new venture Nutra
Sport, Richard teamed with his sister Betsy to capitalize
on fast-emerging trends in the health and fitness industry
and quickly introduced quality, innovative products at just
the right juncture. Richard and Betsy were joined by Larry
Chriscoe in 1998 as company President and CEO and the business
experienced exponential growth benefiting from Larry’s
business acumen in the retail industry.
NFI’s focus has evolved from researching, developing
and marketing a broad array of pain, diet and mineral products
to the management of its portfolio of quality over-the-counter
(“OTC”) consumer brands. Our flagship pain relief
product, Blue-Emu®, is a unique emu oil cream formulation
used by thousands of people in America as a pain relieving
alternative to aspirin. NFI offers Barefoot Coral Calcium
CompleteTM as an all natural alternative to today’s
calcium supplements and multivitamins. Transdermis TM Scar

NFI is a privately held company and was founded in North
Carolina in 1988. The company is owned by Richard Guy, Larry
Chriscoe, and Betsy Horner. It is headquartered in Fayetteville,
North Carolina. The company’s first official site was
a 20 x 20 foot garage and the Commissary at Ft. Bragg its
single point of distribution. But Richard’s market-demand
strategy generated rapid growth that took NFI from the garage
into a 400, then 1,200, then 6,000 sq. ft. facility that
included a 3,000 sq. ft. on-site warehouse. The company soon
had to lease an additional 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse to meet
continuing growth demands. The most recent upgrade occurred
in 2002 when NFI purchased the company’s current 52,000
sq. ft. facility that offers 27,000 sq. ft. of warehouse
space with five loading docks, 13,000 sq. ft. of office space
and another 12,000 sq. ft. of rental property.
NFI believes in the importance of being a corporate
citizen. The NFI Charitable Fund reflects NFI’s longstanding
commitment to giving back to the community. The NFI Charitable
Fund provides donations to charities and events on the local,
state and national levels through giving of both time and
money..
